Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg on Thursday launched the Odisha State e-Pavilion on MSME Global Mart, a digital platform aimed at providing the state’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) greater visibility and access to domestic and international markets.
The e-Pavilion was launched in the presence of National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) Chairman and Managing Director Subhransu Sekhar Acharya.
Earlier, Acharya met Garg and discussed measures for strengthening the MSME ecosystem in Odisha. During the interaction, he outlined various NSIC initiatives, including the National SC-ST Hub Scheme, TEAM initiative and SRI Fund, besides highlighting the recently launched MSME Global Mart 2.0.
The discussions also focused on connecting Odisha’s MSMEs with wider markets through the digital platform and creating greater convergence between the NSIC and the state government.
Garg stressed the need for a “Government as a Whole” approach to strengthen digital enablement, inclusive procurement and market access for MSMEs in the state.
The Odisha State e-Pavilion will showcase a wide range of enterprises and products, including One District One Product (ODOP) items, GI-tagged products, cluster-based offerings and artisan enterprises.
The initiative is expected to provide Odisha’s MSMEs with a structured digital channel to reach buyers and markets beyond the state, while improving their visibility and competitiveness.
The initiative is also in line with the broader objectives of Digital India, Make in India and Vocal for Local, the statement said.
