Bhubaneswar: A 23-year-old youth went missing after allegedly jumping from Tankapani Road bridge into river Kathajodi.
The missing youth has been identified as Bhavani Shankar Khatei, a resident of Old Town area in Bhubaneswar. He was working as a delivery boy in an e-commerce company.
After receiving information, Bhubaneswar and Balianta fire brigade teams searched till late night but could not trace Bhavani Shankar.
The search operation resumed this morning.
The reason behind jumping into the river is still unclear. Locals claimed family dispute could be the reason behind the extreme step.
Meanwhile, heavy crowd gathered on the bridge causing traffic jam for a long time.
