Sambalpur: A 40-year-old man allegedly shot dead his wife following a family dispute at Landimal village under Redhakhol police station limits in Sambalpur district on Monday, police said.
The deceased, who had been married to the accused for more than 15 years, was found dead at their matrimonial home. The accused husband was apprehended by police shortly after the incident.
The firearm allegedly used in the crime, a country-made gun, has been seized. A case has been registered at Redhakhol police station and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the killing.
