Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Odisha, organised a one-day orientation programme for the Head Master-cum-Principals-in-Charge of 71 newly upgraded Government Higher Secondary Schools at the Conference Hall of B.J.B. Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar.
The programme was organised to familiarise the school heads with important aspects of higher secondary school administration, including the online admission procedure, engagement of guest faculty and other academic and administrative activities.
Niyati Pattnaik, Director, DHSE, who was present at the programme, emphasised the importance of effective leadership at the school level. She highlighted that the newly upgraded institutions should focus on creating a conducive academic environment and ensuring that students receive quality education and adequate guidance.
Sasmita Mali, Joint Director, DHSE, stressed the need for proper implementation of prescribed procedures and close coordination among school heads and the Directorate. C.H. Vijayalaxmi, Deputy Director, DHSE, highlighted the importance of strengthening academic planning and institutional management.
The orientation programme forms part of the Directorate’s efforts to support the effective functioning of newly upgraded Government Higher Secondary Schools and ensure that their heads are adequately oriented to the procedures and responsibilities associated with higher secondary education.
