Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is very likely to occur at a few places in Bhubaneswar and Kataka during the next three hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning issued on Wednesday.
The weather agency issued the warning at 2 pm, cautioning residents of the two cities about the possibility of thunder and lightning during the period.
According to the IMD’s latest nowcast, light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places over Bhubaneswar and Kataka.
The weather department advised people to remain alert and keep a close watch on changing weather conditions. Residents have also been urged to plan their activities accordingly and take necessary precautions for their safety in case of worsening weather.
