Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has suspended Block Education Officer (BEO) of Hatadihi in Keonjhar district for allegedly hampering the progress of Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026.
As per an order issued by the School and Mass Education Department, a disciplinary proceeding is contemplated against Rajib Kumar Dalai, Block Education Officer, Hatadihi, Keonjhar, for hampering SIR-2026 work in Hatadihi Block.
Accordingly, Dalai has been suspended with immediate effect under Rule 12 (i) of the OCS (CC&A) Rules, 1962.As per the order, his headquarters during the suspension period will be the office of the District Education Officer, Keonjhar.
He shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the competent authority and shall be entitled to subsistence allowance as per Rule-90 of the Orissa Service Code.
