Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department, Odisha has announced the timeline for Phase-II admission into Undergraduate (UG) courses under SAMS for the Academic Session 2026-27.
As per the notification, the online Common Application Form (CAF) will be available on the SAMS UG portal – https://www.samsodisha.gov.in from 4 PM on September 10, 2026. The last date for applying online is September 20, 2026 (11:45 PM). Editing of CAF can be done till the last date of submission.
Round-I Selection: The provisional allotment of seats for the first round selection along with the list of waitlisted applicants will be published on September 23 at 4 PM. The allotment will be done as per vacancy as on September 20 in the ratio of 1:30 for remaining upper choice HEIs. Selected applicants have to report at the allotted institutions for admission by downloading the intimation letter through SAMS portal and payment of fees from 10 AM on September 24 to 5 PM on September 26. Document verification and data updation by institutions will continue till 9 PM on September 26.
Spot Selection Round: Interested waitlisted applicants have to report physically at their desired HEIs with CAF and relevant documents from 10 AM on September 28 to 2 PM on September 29. A representative with valid ID proof may also be permitted on their behalf. The merit list among reported waitlisted applicants will be published on the Notice Board/Website of the HEIs on October 1 at 2 PM and communicated via phone/SMS. Reporting for document validation and final admission with fee collection will be held from October 3 (10 AM) to October 5 (5 PM), except holidays. If vacancies still remain, reporting of waitlisted applicants will continue from October 6 to October 7 (5 PM). Admission updation in the e-space will be done from October 3 to October 7 (9 PM).
