Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department has announced the schedule for Phase-II e-Admission to postgraduate (PG) courses in state public universities and colleges participating under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the 2026-27 academic session.
As per the schedule, the online Common Application Form (CAF) for providing fresh options through choice locking will be available in the student login on the SAMS PG portal from September 12 at 4 pm. The last date for choice locking is September 21 till 11.45 pm.
The provisional allotment of seats for the first round, along with the waiting list for remaining higher-choice higher education institutions, will be published on September 24 at 4 pm. Selected candidates will have to report and pay applicable admission fees online between September 25 and 28.
Interested waitlisted applicants can physically report at their respective higher education institutions with the required documents on September 29 and 30 to participate in the waiting-list admission round. The merit list of reported waitlisted applicants will be published on October 1 at 2 pm.
Selected candidates will undergo document validation, final admission and fee payment from October 3 to 5, while waitlisted candidates, if vacancies remain, can report for admission from October 6 to 7. Admission updates for both selected and waitlisted applicants will be completed in the HEIs’ e-space by October 7.
The department said any changes in the schedule will be published in newspapers and on the SAMS website. Candidates have been advised to refer to the Common Prospectus and guidelines available on the SAMS portal.
