Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a cash award of ₹11 lakh each for members of the Indian men’s hockey team and ₹5.5 lakh each for the support staff following the team’s gold medal triumph at the Asian Games 2026.
Congratulating the players and support staff, Majhi honoured their contribution to India’s memorable achievement at the continental sporting event.
The Chief Minister said Odisha, which shares a deep-rooted association with Indian hockey, stands proudly with the national team and remains committed to promoting sporting excellence.
The announcement was shared by the Chief Minister’s Office on X on Saturday.
