Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati has expressed deep grief over the demise of veteran actor Nana Patekar.
In a condolence message posted today, the Governor said, ‘Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of veteran actor Shri Nana Patekar. Renowned for his distinctive dialogue delivery and powerful portrayals of complex characters, he leaves behind a rich legacy that has enriched Indian cinema and inspired generations. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and countless admirers,” he added.
Notably, Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75 on Thursday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. He was found unconscious at his home and rushed to Manipal Hospital, where doctors attempted CPR for 45 minutes but could not revive him.
The actor, a recipient of three National Film Awards and Padma Shri in 2013, was known for his intense performances in films like Parinda, Krantiveer, Ab Tak Chhappan, Welcome and Natsamrat.
