Bhubaneswar: The Ganjam district administration has put in place special arrangements, including free food, accommodation and transportation, for candidates appearing in the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Main Written Examination at centres in the Brahmapur zone, in view of travel difficulties caused by Cyclone Arnab and the resultant flooding.
The examination is scheduled to begin on Saturday (October 31).
Candidates facing difficulties in reaching their respective examination centres due to the cyclone-induced floods can seek assistance from designated officials at the Brahmapur Sub-Collector’s office, the district administration said on Friday.
The administration has arranged free meals, accommodation and transport for flood-affected candidates to ensure that adverse weather conditions do not prevent them from appearing in the examination.
Candidates requiring assistance can contact the following officials:
- Bikash Samal: 916351750755
- Kanhai Charan Gouda: 919337458334
- Samir Kumar Dash: 918658111186
The district administration has urged candidates facing difficulties to contact the designated officials and avail themselves of the facilities.
Earlier, the state government had clarified that the OCS Main Written Examination would be conducted as scheduled despite the prevailing flood situation in southern Odisha. It had also assured special arrangements to facilitate the movement of candidates from affected areas to their respective examination centres.
