Kendujhar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at the residences of Raja Chakra and his associate Sadashiba Samal in Kendujhar town in connection with the alleged forcible takeover of a stone crusher unit at Nunujharan.

Two EOW teams have been conducting the searches since Wednesday morning as part of the investigation into the case.

According to the allegations, Raja Chakra and Sadashiba Samal had forcibly taken possession of a crusher unit at Nunujharan in Kendujhar district after getting it registered in their names without making payment to its actual owner.

The EOW had registered a case in this connection and, a few days ago, conducted a raid at the crusher unit as part of its investigation.

The latest searches at the residences of the two accused are part of the ongoing probe into the alleged financial irregularities and forcible takeover of the crusher unit.
