Kataka: The Orissa High Court has deferred the hearing on the anticipatory bail application filed by IPS officer Sushant Nath in connection with a sexual harassment case involving a former woman jailer of Choudwar Jail. The court has fixed November 6 for the next hearing.

The High Court has also postponed the hearing on Nath’s petition seeking quashing of the case registered against him.

Nath has approached the court seeking protection from arrest in the case. He has filed applications seeking anticipatory bail and quashing of the criminal proceedings against him.

Meanwhile, the High Court has also deferred the hearing on the anticipatory bail plea and case-quashing petition filed by Kuldeep Rath, who allegedly acted as a mediator in the same incident. The court has scheduled both matters for hearing on December 6.
