CM Naveen Approves Upgradation Of 7,579 Mini Anganwadi Centres In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the proposal to upgrade all 7,579 mini Anganwadis to regular centers in the State.

Patnaik said that the child development services in the state can be expanded further.

Rs 5,521,30,150 will be spent for the upgradation of these mini Anganwadi centers. Out of this, the Odisha government will spend Rs 36,40,95,160  while the central government will bear Rs 18, 80,34,990.

The funds also cover medical kits, furniture and other equipment as well as administrative expenses.

It is worth mentioning that Anganwadi Centers are working in the state for the care and early education of vulnerable children.
