Kamakhyanagar Nirakar Sahu Murder Case: Two Supari Killers Arrested From Mayurbhanj

Dhenkanal: Police today arrested a supari killer and his associate from Mayurbhanj area in much sensitive Nirakar Sahu murder case of Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal.

A joint team of Kamakhyanagar police, Mayurbhanj police and STF arrested supari killer Rakesh Nath and aide Deba Barja from Badampahad area of Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal SP Jnanaranjan Mohapatra informed at a press meet.

The accused have confessed to the crime, he added.

The prime accused Dibyadharsan Mahunta was arrested earlier, he added.

On September 27 late night, Nirakar Sahu, a mining businessman was shot dead near Alatuma in Kamakhyanagar.  According to reports, Dibyadharsan’s father Deepak Mahunt was shot dead by Nirakar and his accomplices a few years back. In a fit of rage, Dibyadharshan’s son Rakesh had decided to eliminate hi. Accordingly, he made a deal of Rs 6 lakh with the supari killers. Rakesh had paid Rs 1 lakh in advance, the SP said.

Police also seized a car used in the crime.

Deepak Mahunt was the main accused in the murder case. The SP informed that others involved in the incident will be arrested soon.
