Koraput: In a tragic incident, the conductor of a Visakhapatnam bound bus from Damanjodi was killed, and nine others including its driver were injured when the ill-fated vehicle hit a tree near Maliput village in Koraput district.
According to reports, the bus which was travelling from Damanjodi to Visakhapatnam in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh hit a roadside tree near Maliput village after its driver lost control over the wheel resulting in the accident.
While the driver who has been critically injured has been admitted to a hospital at Pottangi, over eight passengers are undergoing treatment at the government hospital in Kunduli.
