Mumbai: Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani on Monday said he has contributed Rs 15 crore towards the addition of 100 new cars to the Mumbai Police fleet, aimed at supporting the city’s policing and security infrastructure.

In a post on social media platform X, Pranav Adani said the contribution was made in recognition of the efforts of Mumbai Police personnel who work round the clock to keep the city safe.

“We salute the brave men and women in khaki who work round the clock to keep Mumbai safe for all,” he said, adding that he was “privileged” to contribute towards strengthening the Mumbai Police fleet.

The Mumbai Police Foundation appreciated the contribution from the Adani Foundation towards the welfare of police personnel and strengthening the security infrastructure of Mumbai and its citizens.

According to the Mumbai Police Foundation, Pranav Adani visited the Police Headquarters in connection with the contribution.

Pranav Adani said he was proud to play a humble role in supporting the personnel who “tirelessly protect the city that never sleeps”.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Pranav Adani said that the Centre’s newly approved ‘Samudra Manthan’ scheme will unlock India’s vast offshore energy potential, accelerate domestic oil and gas exploration and strengthen the country’s long-term energy security.

The initiative marks a landmark step towards expanding India’s offshore exploration capabilities, he stressed.

Pranav Adani further noted that the scheme will accelerate domestic exploration and production, foster greater collaboration across the industry and strengthen the foundations of an energy-secure Viksit Bharat.

“India’s energy exploration landscape is entering an era of unprecedented scale. Guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for India’s energy security, the Union Cabinet’s approval of the Samudra Manthan scheme marks a landmark step towards unlocking our vast offshore energy potential,” he said in a post on X earlier this month.
