Bhubaneswar: The unemployment scenario across the country is evident from the fact that as many as 72,585 aspirants, nearly 10 times more than the advertised vacancies, in Odisha have applied for the posts of regular teachers in government secondary schools.
According to an advertisement published by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), 7,540 posts of regular teachers are being filled up under Odisha School and Mass Education Department. The OSSC said that 72,585 candidates have submitted applications for the posts.
“As many as 5,484 applications have been rejected and the detail rejection list along with grounds of rejection has been uploaded on the OSSC website for information of candidates,” the OSSC said in a notice.
The OSSC informed that preliminary examinations for the TGT Arts, TGT Science (PCM) and TGT Science (CBZ) posts will be conducted to shortlist candidates for the main written examination between March 10 and 13, 2023.
