New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Sunday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for nurturing a vibrant and self-reliant space ecosystem.

In a message on X, Nabin said, “Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiJi, India’s youth and startups are being empowered to take risks, innovate and compete globally, supported by a stable and forward-looking policy environment.”

“We are building a vibrant and self-reliant space ecosystem where the aspirations of our youth can shape India’s place among the world’s leading space powers and strengthen the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” he said, while greeting people on the National Space Day.

Nabin said, “On National Space Day, India’s journey into new frontiers of space reflects the power of vision and bold policy.”

In another message greeting people on the special day, the BJP chief said on X, “Best wishes to all on #NationalSpaceDay, as we celebrate India’s inspiring journey from Earth to the Moon and beyond.”

“On this day, Chandrayaan-3 made history with a successful soft landing near the Moon’s south polar region, making India the first country to achieve this feat. The historic landing site, named ‘Shiv Shakti Point’, stands as a symbol of India’s scientific prowess and the vision, dedication and innovative spirit of our scientists,” he said.

“Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiJi, India continues to create new milestones in space science and technology, advancing the vision of a Viksit Bharat and strengthening India’s place among the world’s leading space powers,” said Nabin on X.

The National Space Day 2026 celebrations are being held under the theme, “Towards Viksit Bharat: Innovating, Collaborating and Aspiring to Global Space Leadership.”

The theme reflects India’s ambition to strengthen its scientific and technological capabilities while encouraging innovation, partnerships and greater participation in the global space ecosystem.
