New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired the 52nd meeting of PRAGATI, the ICT-enabled multi-modal platform designed to promote proactive governance and ensure timely implementation of projects through close coordination between the Centre and State Governments.

During the meeting held at Seva Teerth, the Prime Minister reviewed four major infrastructure projects spanning the road, power, industrial corridor and metro rail sectors. The projects, spread across four states and involving an investment of nearly Rs 30,000 crore, were assessed with a focus on project timelines, inter-agency coordination, issue resolution and timely completion.

Highlighting the importance of efficient execution, the Prime Minister said delays in infrastructure projects not only lead to cost overruns but also deprive citizens and industries of the intended benefits. He directed the concerned ministries and state governments to resolve pending issues in a mission mode and ensure close monitoring of projects at the highest level.

PM Modi also emphasised the effective use of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan to improve planning and expedite infrastructure development. He called for regular updating of project-related information, including utilities, infrastructure layers, approvals and field-level data on the portal. According to him, maintaining accurate and real-time information would help identify bottlenecks early, improve coordination among agencies and facilitate better decision-making.

The Prime Minister also reviewed the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and stressed the need to leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to strengthen the campaign. He suggested involving NCC cadets and MY Bharat volunteers in creating awareness, monitoring patients and mobilising communities to support the initiative.

In addition, PM Modi reviewed grievances related to cybercrime and digital arrest cases, expressing concern over the increasing misuse of digital platforms to defraud citizens.

He said such cases require coordinated, sensitive and time-bound action by all concerned agencies and stressed that citizens should not have to approach multiple departments to seek assistance.

The Prime Minister underlined the need for clear accountability, faster responses and stronger coordination among law enforcement agencies, banks and digital platforms. He also called for intensified public awareness campaigns to help citizens protect themselves from cyber fraud.
