Patna: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, alleging that he is working at the behest of Hungarian-American investor George Soros and wants to create unrest in India on the lines of neighbouring countries.

Speaking to IANS, Singh said, “Rahul Gandhi works for George Soros, who is anti-India and based in the United States. He works at Soros’ behest. Till now, he has not disclosed the details of his foreign travels or the purpose of his visits. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was making arrangements for students’ examinations, where was Rahul Gandhi? Why did he not write to the Prime Minister regarding the students? They wanted to create unrest in India like urban Naxals. They wanted to turn India into Bangladesh. They even say they will make it like Nepal.”

The Union Minister further targeted the Opposition, saying, “Whether it is Akhilesh Yadav or Rahul Gandhi, they do not care about the country. It is Prime Minister Modi’s vision and understanding that have saved us.”

Singh also praised Prime Minister Modi for the 136th episode of his monthly radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, saying it reflected the aspirations and concerns of the nation.

“I would like to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi because, through Mann Ki Baat, he speaks about the nation and the concerns of its people. Even today, he began the programme by remembering the brave Kargil warriors and paying tribute to former President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He also spoke about National Handloom Day, which will be observed on August 7. That is why Mann Ki Baat is truly the voice of the nation,” Singh said.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday highlighted the achievements of youngsters across various fields, including the space sector, adding that he is “very proud of the youth power of the country”.

Addressing the 136th episode of his monthly radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi said, “Last Sunday’s successful launch of Vikram-1 has filled the hearts of every Indian with pride. We all witnessed a historic moment in the Indian space sector. This is the first rocket developed by the private sector of Viksit Bharat.”
