Rajasthan Transfers 26 IAS, 53 RAS Officers; 14 Trainee IAS Officers Posted Ahead Of Civic Poll Code

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government carried out a major late-night administrative reshuffle, transferring 26 IAS and 53 RAS officers ahead of the expected implementation of the Model Code of Conduct for the upcoming local body elections.

As part of the reshuffle, 14 trainee IAS officers have been posted as Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) in the offices of District Election Officers across various districts.

The transfers come after the State Election Commission directed the government to shift officers who have remained posted at the same location for three years or more.

Several RAS officers had also been transferred last week. Several commissioners and secretaries of development authorities and Urban Improvement Trusts (UITs) have been changed.

Nitya K., Commissioner of the Ajmer Development Authority, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Energy Department.

Rashmi Rani, CEO of the Jaisalmer Zila Parishad, will take charge as Commissioner of the Ajmer Development Authority. Girdhar, CEO of the Sri Ganganagar Zila Parishad, has been transferred and appointed CEO of the Bhiwadi Integrated Development Authority (BIDA).

Utsah Chaudhary, Commissioner of the Jodhpur Development Authority, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Disaster Management Department.

Dhaygude Sneh Nana, Secretary of the Alwar UIT, has been appointed Commissioner of the Bikaner Development Authority.

Gaurav Budania, CEO of the Sawai Madhopur Zila Parishad, has been appointed Commissioner of the Ajmer Municipal Corporation. Shalukhe Gaurav Ravindra, CEO of the Alwar Zila Parishad, has been transferred as Secretary of the Bhilwara UIT.

Six IAS officers who were awaiting posting orders (APO) have also been given new assignments, Lalit Goyal is Joint Secretary, PWD, Abhishek Jain is CEO, Zila Parishad, Sri Ganganagar, Pritam Kumar is CEO, Zila Parishad, Udaipur, Saksham Goyal is Joint Secretary, Water Supply Department, Bhesare Shubham Ashok is CEO, Zila Parishad, Jaipur, Pratibha Daya is CEO, Zila Parishad, Karauli and Kaluram has been appointed as Rajasthan University Registrar.

Kailash Chand Sharma, Additional Registrar of the Revenue Board, has been transferred and appointed Secretary of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. The post had reportedly remained vacant for some time.

Meanwhile, Kaluram, who previously served as Special Assistant to Rajasthan Minister of State for Energy Hiralal Nagar, has been appointed Registrar of Rajasthan University. Kaluram was placed on APO status on August 12 after serving as the minister’s Special Assistant and has now received a new posting within a week.

Three RAS officers have been placed on Awaiting Posting Orders status. They are Ashu Chaudhary, Registrar, Rajasthan University, Ranjita Gautam, Secretary, Rajasthan Textbook Board and Suresh Kumar Rao, Protocol Officer, GAD Jodhpur. Mahavir Singh-II, Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Karauli, has been transferred as Secretary of the Rajasthan Textbook Board, Jaipur, replacing Ranjita Gautam.

The Model Code of Conduct for the upcoming urban local body elections is expected to come into force shortly. In view of the likely implementation of the election code, the Department of Personnel has directed the transferred RAS officers to join their new assignments immediately.

Orders have also been issued to District Collectors and Heads of Departments to relieve the transferred officers from their existing posts without delay.

The officers have been instructed to report to their new postings immediately, with disciplinary action warned against those who fail to comply with the orders.
