RSS Chief’s Remarks On Youth Concerns Important: NDA Leaders On Mohan Bhagwat’s Message To Gen Z

New Delhi: NDA leaders on Friday welcomed RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s interaction with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students, describing his message on youth issues as both meaningful and relevant in the present context.

Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav praised Bhagwat’s outreach to young people, saying the RSS chief made a significant effort to understand the thoughts, concerns and aspirations of the younger generation.

“Mohan Bhagwat interacted with young people on a large scale and made an effort to understand their thoughts and concerns. I believe his remarks were very apt and serve as a valuable example for all of us,” Yadav said.

Telangana BJP president N. Ramchandra Rao also appreciated Bhagwat’s interaction with students and youth, calling it fruitful and beneficial for society.

“The interaction with the youngsters, youth, and students by Mohanji Bhagwat was very fruitful. His message to the entire nation … was very interesting and also very useful. I am sure that Mohanji Bhagwat’s message is very important in the present context,” Rao said.

Rao highlighted that Bhagwat addressed several issues during the interaction, including student protests. He said the RSS chief acknowledged that protests are a democratic right but cautioned against their misuse for other purposes.

Bhagwat, while speaking in Mumbai on Thursday, said that young people associated with Gen Z movements should be seen as part of society and should not be branded as “anti-national”. He said their concerns are genuine and that democratic systems must provide space for dialogue and discussion.

The RSS chief emphasised that today’s youth seek logical answers and meaningful engagement rather than blind acceptance. He said protests can be an important way of expressing concerns in a democracy, provided they remain focused on constructive dialogue.

However, opposition leaders criticised Bhagwat’s remarks and questioned whether the same principles were being followed by governments.

Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad said, “He should ask his own government to follow this advice. Protests are essential in a democracy.”

Prasad referred to previous student demonstrations and alleged that young people with legitimate demands had faced police action, including lathi-charge and tear gas. He also raised concerns about the challenges faced by students and young people across the country.
