Bolangir: One person was killed and two critically injured in a group clash in the Malgodown area in Odisha’s Bolangir district on Monday night. According to police, the group clash was a fall-out of an old enmity.
The deceased has been identified as Neeraj Harpal, who was recently released on bail. The critically injured, one of whom has been identified as Mukesh Harpal, have been admitted to VIMSAR in Burla.
According to reports, two rival groups clashed on the streets of the Malgodown area brandishing swords and other weapons. The scuffle led to the death of one person while two others were critically injured.
While the incident has left the residents in the area panic-stricken, police have started an investigation into the matter. According to preliminary investigation, the group clash was a fall-out of past enmity. The police have arrested all the four accused in this case.
