Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is set to host the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 on January 28 and 29 at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. The mega conclave aims to showcase Odisha’s business potential and attract investments from across the globe.
At a press meet, Industries Department Principal Secretary Hemant Sharma said that the government has invited 100 Fortune companies to participate in the summit, along with investors from 12 countries, including Australia, Japan, the UK, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Cuba, and Holland. The event is expected to draw 5,000 delegates, including envoys from several countries and investors.
Before the inaugural ceremony, national executive council members of CII will arrive on January 27 and will hold programmes.
“We are organizing five sessions on that day, in which various council of ministers, secretaries of various departments, and other government officials will participate in a meeting with the CII members. These sessions will be organized at five different locations in the city. The programs will be held on January 27 afternoon,” he said.
Since national council members of the CII are coming, a meeting of the CM with them is scheduled between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM at Swosti Premium Hotel on January 27, he added.
All the leading industrialists will reach Janata Maidan at 10 AM on January 28 for the inauguration ceremony. The inauguration ceremony will begin at 11 AM and will continue till 12:30 PM.
The conclave will feature five sectoral sessions on January 28, followed by cultural programs in the evening. On January 29, five sessions will be held in the morning and afternoon. The valedictory ceremony will take place on the cultural stage, where the Chief Minister and other council of ministers will be present, he added.
As part of the event, 60 new entrepreneurs from the MSME sector, two from each district, will be selected and felicitated during the valedictory ceremony. The government has requested media persons to cover all events widely during the three-day conclave, Sharma said.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Utkarsh Odisha-Make In Odisha Conclave 2025 on January 28.
