Bhubaneswar: As many as 11 students sustained injuries as the Bolero they were travelling in overturned near Dangamal Krushna Nagar under Talchua Marine station in Kendrapara district, on Friday.
As per reports, the road accident took place when the students of Baghamari Vivekananda High School were going to appear board the board examination. One student was critically injured, while several others sustained minor injuries. All the injured students were rescued and rushed to Talchua Hospital.
The Bolero vehicle carrying students to the exam centre hit a cycle and overturned. While the cyclist died on the spot, the students sustained injuries. The deceased cyclist has been identified as Subrat Mandal.
Tension ran high at the accident spot after the mishap with locals resorting to block the road.
