Bhubaneswar:  An 11-foot-long King Cobra was safely rescued from a bank premises in Chikiti in Ganjam district. Upon receiving information from locals, a member of the Snake Helpline promptly reached the spot, captured the venomous reptile, and later released it into a nearby forest area, preventing any potential harm to people.

Meanwhile, in Keonjhar district, panic gripped residents of the Water Resources Department Colony in Hadgada when a huge king cobra snake (over 10 feet long) was spotted on the veranda of a local post office.

Locals were shocked by the unexpected sighting of the massive serpent. Forest department staff quickly responded, rescued the non-venomous but intimidating snake, and released it safely into the Hadagada Sanctuary.
