Bhubaneswar: A 12-platoon police force, along with senior police officers, will be deployed during President Droupadi Murmu’s two-day visit to Odisha on March 24 and 25, 2025.
Addressing the media, Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena assured that all necessary security arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the President’s visit.
“Tomorrow, President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Odisha and during her stay in Bhubaneswar, the Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police has arranged security at key locations, including the airport, Raj Bhavan, and along the route. All arrangements have been finalized,” he said.
The security deployment will include three senior officers of DCP or SP rank, three Additional DCP-level officers, 14 DSP or ACP-level officers, 28 inspectors, 110 sub-inspectors or ASIs, and a 12-platoon police force to ensure the safety and security of the President during her visit.
DCP Meena further elaborated on the schedule of the President’s visit, “President Murmu will depart from Chhattisgarh around noon and is expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar by 1:30 pm. She will visit Nayagarh later in the day. In the evening, she will return to Bhubaneswar and stay at Raj Bhavan overnight. On March 25, she will depart in the morning.”
The Bhubaneswar police have assured that every measure will be taken to ensure the safety and security of the President.
