Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) announced that 120 shops at the newly constructed Baramunda Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) will be allotted via a transparent lottery system within the next 10 days. This was informed by BDA Vice Chairman Dr. N. Thirumala Naik on Monday.
The lottery will ensure a fair and transparent selection process for shop allotments. Shopkeepers who previously operated at the old bus stand will also be accommodated in the new terminal, which spans nearly one lakh square meters of commercial space.
Dr. Naik further informed that although a dormitory facility was included in the original project plan, its construction has not yet commenced. However, authorities have assured that the dormitory construction will begin shortly.
This development aims to boost commercial activity and provide improved facilities for traders and passengers at the state-of-the-art Baramunda ISBT.
