Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds, and light to moderate rain over 11 Odisha districts in the next three hours.
According to the nowcast bulletin issued at 1: 45 pm, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) with light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the following districts such as Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Ganjam and Gajapati.
The IMD has advised people to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on the weather for any worsening conditions. Residents, especially those in open areas, have been urged to move to safer places immediately to protect themselves from the risk of lightning strikes.
