Bhubaneswar: Maximum temperature breached 37°C mark in as many as 13 places across Odisha on Wednesday.
According to evening bulletin of the regional centre of IMD, Boudh recorded highest temperature (day temperature) of 38.5°C in the state followed by Nayagarh 38.2°C, Bolangir, Malkangiri and Bhawanipatna 38.0°C each, Talcher 37.8°C, Paralakhemundi 37.6°C Jharsuguda 37.4°C, Sambalpur and Sundargarh 37.3°C each, Chandbali 37.2°C Nawarangpur and Rayagada 37.0°C each.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum temperature of 36.1°C and 36.5°C respectively during the day.
The IMD in its forecast has said that there will be a gradual rise in maximum temperature(day temperature) by 2-3°C during the next 03 days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
Similarly, the minimum temperature (night temperature) will gradually rise by 2-3°C during the next 02 days and there will be no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha, the IMD added.
