Bhubaneswar: Mercury soared across Odisha with as many as 14 places recording maximum daytime temperatures of 37°C and above.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Boudh was the hottest place in the State recording a maximum daytime temperature of 39.5°C followed by Bhawanipatna at 39.4°C, Balangir at 38.9°C, Sonepur at 38.7°C, Jharsuguda at 38.6°C and Nayagarh 3at 8.0°C.
The IMD has informed through a post on X that maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to rise by 2-4°C during the next 24 hours and thereafter fall by 2-3°C at many places over the districts of Odisha.
There will be no large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) over the districts of Odisha, the IMD’s post added.
