Bhubaneswar: The body of a minor boy who went missing in Kuakhai river on Saturday, has been retrieved today from the river in Bhubaneswar.

The 14-year-old boy Ashutosh Swain had gone to the river along with his friends to catch fish. When he failed to return home by evening, his worried family launched a search. They eventually filed a missing person complaint at the Mancheswar police station.

After an extensive search operation lasting several hours, personnel from the Fire Services recovered the boy’s body from the river around 2 a.m.
