Bhubaneswar: Around 150 live bullets were found in a sleeper coach of the Purushottam Express at Puri station.
The 8 mm bullets were hidden in 15 packets inside a bag, which was placed under a seat in the S2 sleeper coach of the express train that runs between Puri and New Delhi.
During a routine check at Puri railway station in the evening, security personnel stumbled upon the suspicious bag and immediately seized the bullets.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Government Railway Police (GRP) have initiated a joint investigation into the incident to determine the source and intended use of the live ammunition.
Authorities are working to identify the individual or group responsible for transporting the bullets and to uncover any potential security threats. The probe is currently underway.
