Nayagarh: In a tragic incident, two minor boys drowned while bathing in a pond at Sathiapali village in Khuntubandh panchayat under Sadar police limits in Nayagarh district today.
According to reports, the deceased minors have been identified as Chandrasekhar Swain (8) and Rudramadhyam Swain (3).
The deceased are siblings and had gone to the pond to take a bath when the mishap occurred. They were rescued by the villagers and were rushed to the district headquarters here. They were declared dead by the attending doctors.
A pall of gloom descended on the village following the tragic incident.
