Cuttack: Two persons were grievously hurt in Bidanasi Nuasahi area under Bidanasi police limits of the city when they were attacked by five youths over their refusal to pay Ganesh Puja chanda (donation).
According to reports, the attackers stabbed the two persons identified as Shyam Sundar Das and Bapina Jena with a knife as they failed to pay Ganesh Puja chanda. The two injured persons have been admitted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in critical condition.
Bidanasi police have detained two youths in this connection and further investigation into the matter is underway.
