20 Devotees Injured In Bee Attack At Gajapati’s Chandragiri Shiva Temple

Bhubaneswar: As many as 20 devotees were injured after being stung by a swarm of honeybees at Chandragiri Shiva temple under Mohana police station in Gajapati district, on Monday.

The incident occurred when thousands of devotees gathered at the temple to offer prayers on the occasion of Pana Sankranti.

According to eyewitnesses, a swarm of wild bees emerged from a nearby tree and attacked the devotees, causing panic and chaos in the area. The injured were immediately rushed to Chandragiri Hospital for treatment, with several reported to be in critical condition.
