Nuapada: A DJ vehicle carrying 20 band artists met with a serious accident on the Biju Expressway near Sunapur under Boden block in Nuapada district on Wednesday.
The artists were en route to Tarabod village to perform at a wedding event when the vehicle lost control and overturned near Sunapur.
According to reports, five persons sustained serious injuries, while 15 others suffered minor injuries. The critically injured were rushed to the Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital for treatment, while those with minor injuries are being treated at the Boden Community Health Center. Local authorities are currently working to recover the vehicle from the accident site.
The DJ vehicle, belonging to Dotor village, was traveling to Tarabod for a wedding ceremony when the mishap occurred. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and further investigations are underway.
