Bhubaneswar: As many as 20 persons were injured after being bitten by a rabid stray dog at Mahanga block in Cuttack on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the Nahanga, Podamarai, and Haldia panchayats under Mahanga block where the dog attacked villagers and three cows. Some of the injured are being treated at the Mahanga Community Health Centre, while others with serious injuries have been referred to Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to capture the dog and prevent further attacks.
The incident has created a sense of fear and anxiety among village, with people worried about their safety.
