Bhubaneswar: The Higher Secondary Education has completed the Phase-I SPOT Selection under the +2 e-Admission process for the Academic Year 2026-27. A total of 25,332 candidates have been selected for admission across different streams in the state.
According to officials, 3,786 of the selected students are fresh candidates who had not made it through the first and second selection rounds earlier.
The Arts stream recorded the highest number of admissions with 14,180 students. Science followed with 7,226 students, while 2,601 students were selected in Commerce. The Vocational stream saw 1,068 selections and Sanskrit had 257 students selected.
For the SPOT round, a total of 48,536 candidates were considered. Out of them, 25,332 were selected and 23,204 were not selected. With this, the number of candidates who remained unselected after the 1st, 2nd and SPOT selections of Phase-I stands at 20,450.Officials also said that 7,338 candidates have been allotted seats against their first preference of college and stream.
Students selected in this round have been advised to check the SAMS portal for further instructions on admission and document verification. The department said details for the next phase of the e-admission process will be announced soon.
