Cuttack: As many as 27 patients suffering from diarrhea have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, according to Registrar (Administration) of the hospital Subash Chandra Ray. The patients have been referred from various locations, including Jajpur and nearby areas.
“All patients are receiving treatment in the dedicated diarrhea ward. One patient succumbed this morning,” Ray informed.
The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Basanta Barik, a resident of Sukinda in Jajpur district.
Ray assured that the remaining patients are stable and are being treated as per standard medical protocol.
