Jharsuguda: Setting aside age-old tradition, three daughters carried the bier of their father in Brajrajnagar area of Jharsuguda district.
Reportedly, after learning about the ill health of Debarchan Patra, his three daughters Renuka Pradhan, Kamala Pradhan, and Nabanita Barik had arrived at the house to take care of him.
However, Debarchan died due to old age. Following it, the three along with their brother Dharani Patra shouldered the former’s bier to the cremation ground and performed his last rites.
