Bhubaneswar: Dense fog continues to play havoc with flight operations at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, with three flights cancelled and 15 delayed today. The affected flights were scheduled to depart for Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.
According to reports, the fog has caused up to four hours of delay in flight operations. Passengers are facing inconvenience due to the delayed flights, and airlines are keeping them informed about the status.
Yesterday’s dense fog also disrupted flight schedules, and similar conditions are expected to persist today, with dense fog shrouding Bhubaneswar’s skies. The visibility was as low as 50 meters at 6:30 am, making it impossible for flights to take off. Typically, flights require a minimum visibility of 550 meters to operate safely.
