Jajpur: At least five persons were killed and 30 persons were injured when the bus in which they were travelling skidded off the flyover and fell 20 feet below near Barabati chhak in Jajpur district today evening. The condition of 20 of the injured persons is stated to be serious.
All the injured persons have been rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Dharmasala.
The critically injured passengers have been shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital at Cuttack by as many as 10 ambulances.
Fire Service and police personnel with the help of locals rescued the passengers.
The bus named ‘Kalia Nana’ which was on its way to Digha in West Bengal from Puri fell off the flyover after its driver lost control over the wheel.
