Bhubaneswar: Three students of Bahumagheri School under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district were injured after a portion of the school veranda collapsed, on Friday.
According to reports, the incident occurred when students were celebrating Teachers’ Day. As a result, two students identified as Shubhashree Kala and Shakuntala Mandal of Sishu Batika and Srabani Kala of Class III sustained injuries.
The veranda’s plaster fell on students Shubhashree Kala, Shakuntala Mandal, and Srabani Kala, causing head and body injuries. The injured students were immediately taken to Basudebpur Hospital for treatment.
The school has a total of 32 students from nursery to class V. Parents have been complaining about the poor condition of the classrooms to Block Development Officer and District Collector but their pleas were not heard.
