Bhubaneswar: A total of 40 candidates are in the fray in the five Parliamentary Constituencies: Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska which are going to polls on May 20.
As many as 47 candidates had filed nominations out of which six were rejected and one candidate withdrew the nomination.
Similarly, a total of 265 candidates are in the fray in the 35 Assembly Constituencies that are going to the polls on May 20.
As many as 298 candidates had filed their nominations out of which nominations of 23 candidates were rejected and 10 candidates withdrew their nominations.
