39th National Junior Athletics Championship Concludes; Haryana Overall Champions, Tamil Nadu Runners-Up

Bhubaneswar: The 39th National Junior Athletics Championship concluded at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Team Haryana emerged as the overall champion with 303 points, while Tamil Nadu emerged as the runners-up with 269 points.

Odisha won 11 medals including 6 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals in the tournament. Team Haryana also emerged as the champion in both the men’s and women’s categories with 116 and 179 points respectively. A total of 20 national records were created in the tournament.

Adille Sumariwalla, the president of the Athletics Federation of India, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Siddhartha Das, Additional Secretary Vijay Kumar Swain, Joint Secretary Vijayananda Nayak and other senior officials were present at the closing ceremony.
