Bhubaneswar: Four migrant workers from Odisha including two women, died while 18 others were critically injured after the bus they were travelling by rammed into a parked truck in Suryapet district of Telangana on Friday morning.
The accident occurred on the Khammam-Suryapet National Highway in the early hours of Friday. The bus had left for Hyderabad from Kalahandi Sinapali yesterday carrying 32 workers. The bus was crossing the Suryapet-Khamam road at around 3.00 am.
According to reports, around 32 passengers were travelling by the private bus to Hyderabad from Sinapali block of Odisha’s Nuapada district. While travelling on the Khammam-Suryapet National Highway in Telangana the vehicle crashed against a stationary truck killing four passengers on the spot.
On being informed, police rushed to the accident site and rescued the passengers. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
