Bhubaneswar: Four students of Udala Gurukul Vidya Mandir in Mayurbhanj district were allegedly beaten up by a teacher for leaving the hostel without informing anyone to watch the Rath Yatra.
According to reports, four students staying in the school hostel went to see the Rath Yatra without informing the authorities. Angered by this, a teacher allegedly assaulted them. The students later lodged a complaint with Udala police. One of the students sustained serious injuries and was hospitalised.
The incident has triggered anger among parents and local residents. However, the school authorities have not issued any statement regarding the matter so far.
