Baripada: A four-year-old boy Sogen Hansda drowned in a pond in front of his house in Pinchabania village under Baisinga police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.
Sogen who was playing in the court yard of their house slipped out while his mother was busy doing household chores accidentally fell into the pond infront of his house.
On not finding Sogen in the courtyard his family members frantically searched for him. Later they found him floating in the pond. He was rescued and rushed to Betanoti CHC where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
